Com oito indicações, Lizzo é a maior concorrente ao Grammy de 2020. A lista completa de indicados foi divulgada há pouco. Billie Eilish e o rapper Lil Nas X foram lembrados em seis categorias e vêm logo em seguida em número de nominações. Os vencedores serão conhecidos em 26 de janeiro.
Essa é a primeira vez na história da premiação, a maior da indústria musical dos EUA, em que dois artistas concorrem no mesmo ano aos quatro maiores prêmios: de melhor álbum, gravação, música e revelação. Lizzo está na briga com a edição de luxo de "Cuz I Love You" e o hit "Truth Hurts" - ela também ganhou três indicações na categorias dedicadas ao R&B. Eilish vai disputar os principais Grammys com seu disco de estreia, "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" e com a música "Bad Guy".
Lil Nas X teve a maioria de suas indicações graças ao estouro de "Old Town Road", indicada como melhor gravação, vídeo e performance em duo ou grup. Mas ele ainda irá concorrer em melhor álbum com "7" (uma surpresa), artista novo e em performance que une rap e canto por "Panini".
Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, H.E.R., Bon Iver e o Vampire Weekend são outros nomes que também terão a chance de saírem premiados da festa.
